Experience the Abbotsford Centre

2018 kicks off a busy year at the Abbotsford Centre, with 9 different shows happening between March and May! Whether you’re a seasoned concert-goer or are hitting your first show this year, read on for our tips on making the most out of your Abbotsford Centre experience!

Pre Show Dinner

Start your night off right with a great meal. Abbotsford has tons of great local restaurants to choose from, but for pre-concert dinner and cocktails, we recommend Cactus Club and S & L Restaurant. Both restaurants are in close proximity to the arena and can accommodate large groups, in addition to having great food and drinks. Reservations are recommended, these places can get busy on event nights!

If you prefer to eat at the venue there are a number of concession options to choose from or you can check to see if your event has a dining package available for purchase. Executive chef Craig Macleod creates unique dinner menus tailored to the event served in the Premium Lounge before the show. Information and sample menus can be found on the Abbotsford Centre website.

Craft Beer and Whiskey Lounges

Unique to the Abbotsford Centre is the craft beer and whiskey lounge accompanying select shows. Purchase this addition to your show ticket and enjoy a tasting of local craft beer or select whiskeys before the performance as well as access to the lounge during the show. Local craft beer is also available for purchase on the concourse, making your concert experience in the Fraser Valley extra authentic!

After Party at Townhall Public House

Not ready to go home after the show? Take a taxi over to Townhall Public House where the party continues until 1am. Abbotsford’s first choice for a night on the town, this lively venue often has drink specials and DJ’s spinning hits after an Abbotsford Centre show. Grab a table with your group or hit the dance floor and dance the night away!

Spend the Night

Take the stress out of planning a ride and dealing with parking, stay overnight at one of our great Abbotsford hotels! Front desk staff can organize a cab ride for you to and from the venue so that all you have to do is enjoy your night. Whether or not you choose to spend the night, if you are drinking always ensure that you have a safe ride home.

Seasonal Sips to Try this Winter

Escape the chill and sip your way into the season with these suggested warmers. From hot mulled apple cider and spiced honey meads to hot chocolate porter and a fir tips brew, you’ll be loving the winter vibes in Abbotsford.

Bring a blanket, come hungry, and get ready to get cozy at our local breweries. At Field House Brewing, enjoy the latest Toasted Coconut Black Lager and brewhouse-made, farm-to-plate comfort foods. Warm up by a wood-burning fire or take in the cabin décor with sheepskin-covered benches and a heated patio. Launching mid-December, the Good Life Ale will be available – a woodsy beer made with fir tree tips!

Adding to Raven’s Brewing’s seven taps are two new releases -- the Jackdaw, a citrus-rye sour released on November 24th and the, fan-favourite, Hot Chocolate Porter available as of mid-December. A pop-up shop with One Fish Two Fish  is also scheduled for mid-month where fresh oysters and other seafood items are available for sale.

Apple Cider

Known as fall’s sweetest harvest, Taves Family Farms’ tree-to-bottle process takes farm-grown apples and creates a 100% natural apple cider. Nothing is added to this non-alcoholic bevvy, but you can mix it with your favourite spirit and mull it with a pinch of clove, cinnamon, and allspice. Or buy it spiced but be sure to serve it steaming hot! Available at stores across the Lower Mainland.

Mead is the oldest alcoholic drink known to man as was believed to be the drink of the gods. A little unknown fact, second century Romans and Europeans once sought spiced mead as a cure for winter colds but, since the late 1800s and ever since the Swedes first embraced mulled wine as a Christmas tradition, mead has graced many Christmas tables! Try the spiced cranberry or apple, zesty sweet, or dry mead from Campbell’s Gold.  Add honey, brandy, orange rinds, raisins, or simply savour the spicy elixirs as they come.

Field House Brewing | 2281 W Railway St, Abbotsford, BC |

Campbell’s Gold Honey Farm and Meadery | 2595 Lefeuvre Rd, Abbotsford, BC |

Taves is closed for the season, but the cider is available at a store near you.
